Transcript
  1. The customer calls and speaks Twi

They call the bank's usual number and speak the way they speak at home. Bambi listens and recognises the language.

    Customer

Good evening. The ATM at Adum has kept my card.

  2. Bambi checks your procedure

It looks up what your bank says to do about a retained card, in the knowledge base you provide. It answers from the material you give it.

    Behind the scenes

Looking up: retained card procedure. Found: retained card procedure.

  3. Bambi answers in Twi

The customer hears a clear answer in their own language and can ask follow-up questions.

    Bambi

I'm sorry to hear that. I can ask for your card to be blocked now, so no one else can use it. Shall I?

    Customer

Yes, please. And I need cash for tomorrow.

  4. A colleague takes over, already briefed

Cash for tomorrow needs a person, so Bambi passes the call to one of your agents with a written summary. The customer does not repeat anything.

    Bambi

Done. I'm passing you to a colleague who can help with cash for tomorrow. They can see everything we've said.

Handed to an agent · Summary attached

Card kept by the Adum ATM at 21:04. Block requested. Customer needs cash tomorrow.

Take over with the full context

Bambi is a layer on top. Nothing underneath is removed.
  • You keep your phone number, your menus and your agents.
  • You choose which requests Bambi may handle.
  • Everything else is passed to a person.

TO COMPLETE: supported connection options (for example call transfer, SIP, API) and compatible IVR vendors, to be confirmed with the bambi-platform team

Is Bambi safe to use in a regulated environment?

Banks must be able to show what happened on every call. Bambi is designed around that.

  • Encryption

Customer data is protected in transit and at rest. TO COMPLETE: technical details from bambi-platform: protocols, key management, hosting region

  • Every interaction is traceable

Each call is recorded in a log: what was asked, what Bambi answered, and when it handed over. Your compliance team can review any interaction. TO COMPLETE: confirm retention period and export format

  • People stay in charge

You decide which requests Bambi may handle. Sensitive topics always go to a person, and your agents can take over a call at any time.

  • Data protection

We design for the data protection rules of each country we work in. TO COMPLETE: legal review of this statement, including Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and the GDPR

We do not claim certifications we do not hold. TO COMPLETE: list any certifications held or formally in progress, otherwise leave this sentence as it is

What is Bambi built on?

Bambi is built on speech data collected by Afriklang. Every recording is consented, comes from a verified speaker and is licensed for commercial use. That data is why we can work in languages that most voice systems leave out.

90.0%

Native-speaker annotation of Wolof social media comments reached 90.0% F1 on our benchmark, against 45% for the best frontier language model we tested.

This shows the quality of our data. It is not a measure of how well Bambi performs on calls.
